Data Ethics Training Course: All you need to Know

  • Text Hover
Our Data Ethics training course covers all you need to know. The prevalence of data, its collection and technology has increased the accessibility of data science and analysis to not just the major corporate entities, but to everyone. Data ethics has never been so important. Inferences using contextualised and linked data, bringing about incredible innovation in both our products, services and new technologies.

However, does the digital maturity exist to make such decisions? and how do we balance innovation with privacy?

Data Ethics Training Overview
In a perfect world, legislation and oversight would progress hand in hand with innovation, but we all know that this is far from the truth. Our decision making must not be about how we account ourselves to the strictest interpretation of legislation, but instead a moral and ethical, corporate and social responsibility to the people who trust you with their data.

This one-day Data Ethics course explores the ethical considerations around the use, collection and utilisation of data from a wider perspective. Covering aspects such as information sharing, discrimination and bias in artificial intelligence and algorithms; the rights of the individual and the group and the ethical considerations in the development, collection and usage of data.

Actions taken with good intentions can still be vastly unethical, so this course is designed to inform you of not just the risks but the questions to ask yourself to find a balance.

Who should attend?

No matter the size of organisation, role or position. If you are in a situation where you are responsible for information and the protection of data then this course will give you a great understanding  of topic. Delegates would be  Directors, Privacy Officers, Information Governance Managers, Data Protection Officers, IT security practitioners or any professional working in Information management.
